Wet pipe fire sprinklers have a long history of success. However, there are some applications where the introduction of water is as harmful (or more so) than the fire itself. During this training seminar, we will discuss alternative fire protection systems for water-sensitive areas, and when such an alternative may be appropriate.
Corrosion in a sprinkler system leads to pin-hole leaks and costly service calls. While a repair can patch the immediate problem, this is only a short term fix. If corrosion exists in a fire sprinkler system, there is a good chance oxygen is to blame. During this seminar, we will address misconceptions about what causes corrosion, how to prevent it, and how to find a solution when corrosion is present.

During this seminar, we will discuss types of sprinkler systems, and the types of facilities they are designed for. We will then delve into the NFPA requirements for inspection, testing, and maintenance of these important fire safety systems.
Some fire protection systems need fire pumps to maintain an adequate water supply by increasing pressure for fire suppression. Faulty pump suction, malfunctioning valve alarms, or improperly operating relief valves can all contribute to failure of a fire pump and spell disaster.
