Design Engineering

Quality construction begins with extensive research and preparation. Ryan Fireprotection begins every new construction project by mapping out detailed plans using advanced CAD programs. Digital blueprints allow us to chart the installation of fire protection systems around other trades. This commitment during the planning process means there are fewer unwelcome surprises or delays later.

W. W. Grainger Industrial Supply

Louisville, KY

Clariant Global

Louisville, KY

For the recent expansion of Clariant’s manufacturing facility, Ryan Fireprotection designed and installed multiple special hazard systems that use infrared/ultraviolet flame detection for immediate warnings, combined with fire pumps and foam suppression to protect the raw material and finished product inventories.  Clean agent systems were implemented in data processing rooms to protect high-value assets and maintain operations in the event of a fire.

Axis on Washington

Louisville, KY

This complex is comprised of three five-story buildings, with garage space below. We installed wet systems with over 4,500 sprinkler heads in the residential areas, a standpipe system, and a dry system in the attic. These buildings are unusually tall for wood structures, which required us to create a bird cage system to hang the pipes securely.

Roche Diagnostics

Indianapolis, IN

Ryan Fireprotection installed a large, spiral staircase stretching up three floors at Roche Diagnostics. The team needed to bend, braze together, and hang copper wire to the same arc and dimensions as the staircase. No one had been able to accomplish this before, but our team prevailed in designing and installing this fire safety system in Roche’s US headquarters.
